Inspiration comes from nature
This striking mixed media painting is an expressive abstract landscape, rich in earthy warmth, movement and atmospheric depth.
The composition brings together burnt sienna, rust, ochre, golden amber, deep navy, smoky charcoal and soft ivory, with delicate hints of sage green and pale blue. These colours flow and merge across the canvas, creating the impression of a rugged landscape, distant mountain ranges or the meeting of earth, sky and water.
A sweeping band of rusty red and terracotta moves through the centre, framed by darker navy and charcoal passages that add contrast and drama. Beneath this, layers of creamy white, sandy ochre and soft grey create a beautiful sense of light and openness.
